Hive & Thrive Honey Co. came to us with a dream to build a brand as pure and inviting as the honey they pour. Based in the foothills of North Georgia, their family-owned beekeeping business was beloved at local markets—but they were ready to expand their reach and share their small-batch honey with customers across the country. Our goal was to create a refined yet down-to-earth virtual presence that captured the craftsmanship, care, and natural beauty behind every jar.
To bring the full brand experience online, we built a Shopify eCommerce website that makes it simple for honey lovers across the U.S. to shop and explore the story behind each variety. The website design combines warm tones, hand-drawn illustrations, and informational sections throughout the website to preserve Hive & Thrive's passion for Bee Education & Preservation.
One of the most distinctive parts of the project was the custom label collection, designed specifically for each honey variety. Each label featured a hand-drawn illustration of the flowers that pollinated that batch—such as mountain wildflower, allergy aid, and sourwood—giving every jar its own unique story while maintaining a cohesive look across the product line. The illustrations were created in a loose, organic sketch style to convey natural artistry and craftsmanship - creating a boutique-level presentation perfect for shelves, markets, and gift boxes.
To ensure the products were showcased beautifully, we also handled all product photography for the site. Each photo was styled to highlight the rich color variations of the honey, the texture of the labels, and the organic feel of the brand. The imagery became the foundation of the brand’s online presence, uniting storytelling and design through cohesive, high-quality visuals.
